Professional-Grade Fiberglass Lighting Solution
Built for environments where durability and safety are paramount, this 25-foot above-grade fiberglass pole delivers reliable lighting infrastructure without the maintenance headaches of traditional steel options. Engineered to handle demanding outdoor conditions, the direct burial design eliminates the need for concrete footings while providing exceptional wind resistance up to 90 mph. What makes this fixture valuable for buyers is its non-conductive fiberglass construction that won't rust, rot, or corrode over decades of service.
Why Facilities Choose This Product
- Lightweight 80-pound construction reduces installation labor costs and equipment requirements
- Non-conductive material provides inherent electrical safety for workers and maintenance crews
- Flexible design allows natural bending in high winds while returning to original form
- Fluoropolymer coating with 25-year UV protection maintains appearance and structural integrity
- Direct burial installation eliminates concrete footing costs and installation complexity
- Fire-resistant properties ensure poles won't sustain flames or contribute to fire spread
Suitable Environments
- Commercial parking lots requiring reliable perimeter and area lighting
- Industrial facilities where non-conductive poles enhance worker safety
- Coastal installations where salt air would corrode metal alternatives
- Municipal streetscapes demanding long-term durability with minimal maintenance
- High-wind zones up to 90 mph where flexible strength prevents catastrophic failure
- Areas with aggressive soil conditions that accelerate metal pole deterioration
Metal Halide Replacement Benefits
- Eliminates ongoing rust treatment and repainting required with steel poles
- Reduces replacement frequency through superior corrosion resistance
- Provides consistent structural integrity without metal fatigue over time
- Offers safer maintenance environment with non-conductive material properties
- Delivers stronger compression and tension performance than equivalent steel construction
- Maintains structural appearance longer with advanced UV-resistant coating system
Performance & Safety
From a safety perspective, the non-conductive fiberglass construction provides crucial protection for maintenance personnel working around electrical systems. Additionally, the material's fire-resistant properties ensure poles won't sustain flames since there's no fuel source for combustion, making this an ideal choice for facilities with strict fire safety requirements.
Performance-wise, this pole's flexible engineering allows it to bend naturally under wind loads while returning to its original position, preventing the catastrophic failures common with rigid steel alternatives. The fluoropolymer coating system protects against UV degradation for 25 years, ensuring consistent appearance and structural performance throughout its service life.
In terms of longevity, operators who need dependable lighting will appreciate that fiberglass doesn't break down with age like metal options. By comparison, steel poles require ongoing maintenance for rust prevention and eventual replacement due to corrosion, while this fiberglass solution maintains its structural integrity decade after decade.
Setup & Mounting
The direct burial installation method simplifies the mounting process by eliminating concrete footings and anchor bolt complexities. In practice, the 4.5-foot burial depth provides stable foundation support while the lightweight 80-pound construction reduces crane and heavy equipment requirements during installation. For most installations, the square profile and included top cap create a professional appearance while the four available color options ensure compatibility with existing facility aesthetics.
