Our 60 foot Class 2 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are treated with preservatives to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to ensure rot and decay prevention. The long term durability of a wood utility pole is one of its main benefits
These 60 ft wood poles are perfect for sports fields, baseball fields or used as utility poles. You can add 1-3 light arms per side, 2-6 in total, but no more than 3 per side. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. The number of arms and lights depends on the class of the utility pole you select. The pole length will determine how significant the taper is as with all timber utility poles.
Options Available:
Cross Arms (2-6 per pole, 1-3 per side) and Mounting Brackets. The customer is responsible for mounting Cross Arm after the poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.
These are the lights we typically mount on the cross arms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.
Delivery is made with a standard flatbed truck depending on pole lengths and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at time of delivery. Installation should be done by a trained professional.
Pricing: Does not include price of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Heavy-Duty Wood Pole Solution
For facilities that require substantial lighting infrastructure, this 60-foot Class 2 Southern Yellow Pine pole delivers the structural integrity needed for demanding applications. Built with CCA treatment and manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specifications, this pole provides a reliable foundation for multi-fixture lighting systems across large areas.
Engineered to handle demanding conditions with its direct burial installation and substantial weight capacity, this treated wood pole offers the long-term durability that makes wood utility poles a preferred choice for permanent lighting installations. The precise taper design ensures optimal load distribution while maintaining structural performance.
LED vs Legacy Technology
- Direct burial installation eliminates complex foundation requirements compared to concrete pole systems
- Natural wood construction provides superior resilience against wind loads versus brittle materials
- CCA treatment process delivers extended service life compared to untreated alternatives
- Class 2 rating supports higher fixture loads than lower-rated pole classifications
Why This Fixture Performs
- Supports up to 6 cross arms total (maximum 3 per side) with 240 pounds capacity per arm for comprehensive lighting coverage
- 52-foot above-grade height provides extensive light distribution across sports fields and large commercial areas
- ANSI O5.1 manufacturing standards ensure consistent structural performance with minimal maintenance requirements
- American Wood Preservers Association treatment standards strengthen safety through proven rot and decay prevention
Installation Guide
This pole requires an 8-foot burial depth with direct burial installation method. With its substantial 2750-3200 pound weight and precise dimensional specifications, professional installation equipment is necessary for proper positioning. Cross arms and mounting brackets are available as separate options and require field installation after pole delivery, allowing for customized lighting configurations based on specific site requirements.
