Our 60 foot Class 1 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are treated with preservatives to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to ensure rot and decay prevention. The long term durability of a wood utility pole is one of its main benefits
These 60 ft wood poles are perfect for sports fields, baseball fields or used as utility poles. You can add 1-3 light arms per side, 2-6 in total, but no more than 3 per side. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. The number of arms and lights depends on the class of the utility pole you select. The pole length will determine how significant the taper is as with all timber utility poles.
Options Available:
Cross Arms (2-6 per pole, 1-3 per side) and Mounting Brackets. The customer is responsible for mounting Cross Arm after the poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.
These are the lights we typically mount on the cross arms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.
Delivery is made with a standard flatbed truck depending on pole lengths and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at time of delivery. Installation should be done by a trained professional.
Pricing: Does not include price of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Heavy-Duty Wood Utility Pole for Demanding Applications
For facilities that require substantial lighting infrastructure, this 60-foot Class 1 Southern Yellow Pine pole delivers the structural integrity needed for professional installations. Built for environments where reliable support matters most, this CCA-treated timber pole offers 52 feet of above-grade height with an 8-foot buried foundation for exceptional stability.
Engineered to handle demanding conditions, this American-grown utility pole meets ANSI O5.1 specifications while supporting up to six lighting fixtures across multiple cross arms. With its specialized construction featuring preservative treatment to American Wood Preservers Association standards, this pole provides the long-term durability that makes wood utility poles a preferred choice for sports facilities and commercial lighting projects.
Comparing to Traditional Lighting
Unlike traditional metal or concrete alternatives, this Southern Yellow Pine construction offers natural resilience combined with proven performance characteristics. The substantial weight range of 3160-3730 pounds provides stability that lighter materials cannot match, while the wood's natural properties help absorb environmental stresses that can compromise other pole materials over decades of service.
Operational Advantages
Energy Usage
This pole's robust design supports multiple lighting configurations without compromising structural integrity, allowing operators to optimize their lighting layouts for maximum coverage while maintaining efficient energy distribution across up to six fixtures per installation.
Visibility
With 52 feet of above-grade height, this pole positions lighting fixtures at optimal elevation for wide-area coverage. The substantial top diameter of 8.594 inches provides stable mounting for cross arms that can accommodate various lighting arrangements to meet specific visibility requirements.
Durability
CCA preservative treatment ensures rot and decay prevention, while the natural taper from 15.279 inches diameter at butt measurement to 8.594 inches at top provides engineered flex characteristics that help the pole withstand wind loads and environmental stresses throughout its service life.
