Our CCA Treated 35 Foot Wood Pole Class 4 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.

Our 35 ft round wood poles are perfect for sports fields, baseball fields, and a utility pole project. You can add up to 4 light arms per pole. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. Number of arms and lights depends on the class of pole you select. The class will determine the diameter at the base. Availability can change based on the quantity and length required as different sizes can have different lead times. Our poles are built with durability in mind to ensure long-lasting performance.

Options Available:

Cross Arms (4 per pole, 2 per side) and Mounting Brackets. Customer is responsible for mounting Cross Arm after poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.

These are the lights we typically mount on the cross arms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload ? customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Professional-Grade Wood Utility Pole for Heavy-Duty Applications

This 35-foot Class 4 Ponderosa Pine utility pole is engineered to handle demanding conditions where reliable structural support is essential. Built with CCA pressure treatment and manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specifications, this pole delivers the strength and longevity needed for sports lighting, utility installations, and commercial outdoor lighting projects. With its substantial 540-640 pound construction and direct burial installation method, operators who need dependable mounting solutions will appreciate the robust engineering that supports up to 4 cross arms while maintaining structural integrity.

Suitable Environments

  • Sports fields and baseball complexes requiring high-mounted lighting systems
  • Commercial parking lots and outdoor areas needing substantial pole height
  • Utility installations where Class 4 load capacity is specified
  • Industrial facilities with outdoor lighting and signage requirements
  • Municipal projects demanding ANSI-compliant wood pole construction

Metal Halide Replacement Benefits

  • Natural wood construction provides superior vibration dampening compared to metal alternatives
  • CCA treatment eliminates corrosion concerns that plague steel utility poles over time
  • Direct burial installation reduces foundation complexity and material costs
  • Ponderosa Pine offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio for easier handling during installation
  • Class 4 rating supports heavier LED fixture loads than lower-class alternatives

Performance & Safety

From a structural standpoint, this pole optimizes load distribution with its tapered design, measuring 21 inches in circumference at the top and expanding to 34.5 inches at 6 feet from the base. The 5.5-foot burial depth ensures stable anchoring in various soil conditions while maintaining the full 29.5-foot above-grade height for optimal lighting coverage.

For most installations, the CCA pressure treatment strengthens safety through comprehensive protection against termites, decay, and rot according to American Wood Preservers Association standards. This treatment penetrates throughout the wood structure, creating long-lasting defense against environmental factors that could compromise pole integrity over time.

Additionally, the 240-pound per cross arm capacity reduces downtime by supporting multiple heavy-duty fixtures without exceeding structural limits. With support for up to 4 total cross arms, facilities can achieve comprehensive lighting coverage while maintaining proper load distribution across the pole structure.

Setup & Mounting

Installation utilizes direct burial methodology, eliminating the need for concrete foundations in most soil conditions. The pole's substantial base diameter and 5.5-foot burial specification provide the anchoring strength necessary for stable operation. Cross arms and mounting brackets are available as separate components, allowing customization based on specific lighting requirements. In practice, each cross arm accommodates up to 6 fixtures without exceeding the 240-pound weight limit, and the pole supports a maximum of 2 cross arms per side for balanced load distribution.
