Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.
Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Professional-Grade Foundation Solution
Built for environments where structural integrity cannot be compromised, this 35-foot Class C Southern Yellow Pine piling delivers the foundation strength that demanding marine and construction projects require. Engineered to handle coastal conditions and heavy load applications, this CCA-treated timber provides decades of reliable performance in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
Legacy Replacement Comparison
When upgrading from concrete or steel foundation systems, this Southern Yellow Pine piling offers superior flexibility and natural shock absorption that rigid materials simply cannot match. Unlike traditional concrete pilings that can crack under shifting loads, wood pilings flex with environmental stresses while maintaining structural integrity. From a cost standpoint, these treated timber pilings deliver comparable load-bearing capacity at a fraction of the installation complexity and material expense of engineered alternatives.
Performance Benefits
Energy Efficiency
For facilities that require sustainable building materials, Southern Yellow Pine represents one of the most environmentally responsible foundation choices available. This renewable resource grows rapidly in managed forests, capturing carbon throughout its growth cycle. Additionally, the manufacturing process requires significantly less energy than steel or concrete production, reducing the overall carbon footprint of your construction project.
Light Quality
What makes this piling valuable for marine construction is its natural resistance to shock loads and wave action. The wood fiber structure absorbs and distributes impact forces that would damage brittle materials. In practice, this flexibility prevents stress concentrations that lead to catastrophic failure, ensuring your structure remains stable even during severe weather events.
Longevity
Designed to deliver decades of service life, the .60 CCA treatment penetrates deep into the wood fiber to create a barrier against decay organisms and marine borers. This preservation process ensures dependable operation in harsh environments where untreated materials would fail within years. Performance-wise, properly treated Southern Yellow Pine pilings have documented service lives exceeding 50 years in marine applications.
