Our 30 foot Class 1 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. 30 ft utility poles are treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent decay and damage from insects.

Our 30 foot wood poles are the perfect length for tennis courts and parking lots outside stores. You can add 2 light arms per side, 4 in total. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. One of the benefits of wood poles includes a long life span.

Options Available:

Cross Arms (4 per pole, 2 per side) and Mounting Brackets. Customer is responsible for mounting Crossarm after poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.

These are the lights we typically mount on the crossarms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload ? customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Professional Grade Wood Utility Pole Solution

For facilities that require dependable structural support for lighting and utility applications, this 30-foot Class 1 Southern Yellow Pine pole delivers proven performance in demanding outdoor environments. Engineered to handle substantial loads with its robust CCA treatment and ANSI O5.1 specification compliance, this pole provides the foundation commercial operators need for reliable long-term installations.

Built for environments where traditional materials face challenges from weather, insects, and ground conditions, this treated wood pole offers the natural strength characteristics that have made Southern Yellow Pine the preferred choice for utility applications across the United States. With its capacity to support up to four cross arms and 240 pounds per arm, operators who need dependable lighting infrastructure will appreciate the versatility this pole brings to parking lots, tennis courts, and commercial properties.

LED vs Legacy Technology

  • Natural wood construction provides superior vibration dampening compared to metal alternatives that can suffer from wind-induced stress fatigue
  • CCA treatment process creates lasting protection against decay and insect damage that untreated materials cannot match
  • Direct burial installation eliminates the concrete foundation requirements needed for many synthetic pole options
  • Southern Yellow Pine density offers consistent load-bearing characteristics unlike composite materials that can vary in strength

Why This Fixture Performs

  • Optimizes energy use with natural insulation properties that protect electrical components from temperature extremes while supporting modern LED lighting systems efficiently
  • Improves visibility by providing stable mounting platform with minimal flex, ensuring consistent light positioning even in high-wind conditions
  • Reduces downtime thanks to CCA treatment that extends operational lifespan and minimizes replacement cycles common with untreated wood products
  • Strengthens safety through ANSI O5.1 compliance and proven load capacity that handles multiple cross arms without structural compromise

Installation Guide

In practice, this pole requires direct burial installation with the bottom five feet placed below grade, leaving 25 feet of working height above ground level. The substantial weight of 1000-1200 pounds provides natural stability once properly positioned and backfilled. From a safety perspective, installers should verify ground conditions and utility clearances before beginning excavation, as the pole's dimensions and load capacity make it suitable for substantial lighting arrays that require careful planning during placement.

Compliance & Support

  • ANSI O5.1 specification compliance ensures structural integrity meets industry standards for utility pole applications
  • CCA treatment applied according to American Wood Preservers Association standards for maximum protection
  • Manufactured and treated within the United States for quality control and supply chain reliability
  • One-year warranty coverage protects against manufacturing defects and treatment failures
  • Cross arm and mounting bracket options available as separate components for complete installation flexibility

Best-Use Environments

  • Tennis court lighting installations requiring stable, multi-directional illumination support
  • Parking lot applications where substantial light coverage demands multiple fixture mounting points
  • Commercial property perimeter lighting where aesthetic appeal of natural wood complements building architecture
  • Retail store exterior lighting where reliable performance and professional appearance are essential

Primary Features

  • Class 1 designation with robust diameter specifications maintaining 8.594 inches at top and 11.618 inches six feet from base
  • Four cross arm capacity with balanced loading of up to three arms per side for versatile lighting configurations
  • Southern Yellow Pine construction sourced domestically for consistent grain structure and strength characteristics
  • Direct burial design eliminates foundation requirements while 27-inch minimum circumference at top ensures secure cross arm attachment
