Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading of light fixtures or other attachments, use, or foundation design of light poles. We are solely a supplier of lighting solutions, metal halide replacement lights and poles for parking lots. Final pole assembly is the responsibility of the purchaser. Dimensions and specifications of a round or square composite light pole are subject to change without notice. See the data sheet for current pole data charts. Custom sizing is only available for large order quantities. Pole caps are used in place of other mounting options when necessary.
Please be advised that our composite poles are covered solely by a 15 years-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, such as welds and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Professional-Grade Direct Burial Lighting Solution
Built for environments where reliable outdoor lighting installation demands both structural integrity and long-term performance, this 30-foot fiberglass pole delivers the wind resistance and durability that commercial lighting projects require. Engineered to handle demanding conditions with its round tapered design and 8.5-inch base diameter, this direct burial solution eliminates the need for complex foundation work while providing stable support for area lighting fixtures up to 5 EPA at 100 mph wind speeds.
Key Advantages
- Designed to deliver 5 EPA wind load capacity at 100 mph for reliable storm resistance
- Built with lightweight 115-pound fiberglass construction for easier handling and installation
- Offers reliable direct burial mounting that eliminates concrete foundation requirements
- Provides consistent structural performance with round tapered profile from 8.5 in base to 5.3 in tip
- Ensures dependable operation with bronze acrylic enamel finish and custom color options
Who This Fixture Is For
- Commercial property managers installing post-top or area lighting fixtures
- Municipal lighting departments upgrading parking lot and pathway illumination
- Industrial facility operators requiring wind-resistant lighting infrastructure
- Contractors seeking lightweight poles for faster installation schedules
- Property developers planning outdoor lighting systems without concrete foundations
How It Compares to Metal Halide
Unlike traditional metal lighting poles that require extensive concrete foundations and heavy equipment for installation, this fiberglass solution streamlines the entire process through direct burial capability. From a cost standpoint, the elimination of foundation work reduces both material and labor expenses, while the lightweight 115-pound design allows smaller crews to handle installation. Performance-wise, fiberglass construction resists corrosion and environmental degradation that can compromise metal poles over time, particularly in coastal or industrial environments where salt exposure or chemical contaminants create ongoing maintenance challenges.
Major Benefits
Energy Savings
For facilities that require efficient lighting infrastructure, the direct burial installation method reduces project costs by eliminating concrete foundation requirements and associated excavation work. Additionally, the lightweight fiberglass construction allows installation teams to work more efficiently, reducing labor hours and equipment rental costs compared to traditional heavy steel pole installations.
Light Output & Visibility
With its specialized 30-foot above-grade height and tapered design, this pole positions lighting fixtures at optimal elevations for broad area coverage. In practice, the round tapered profile from 8.5 inches at the base to 5.3 inches at the tip provides stable mounting while minimizing visual obstruction, allowing mounted fixtures to deliver consistent illumination patterns across parking lots, walkways, and commercial outdoor spaces.
Operating Stability
Engineered for high performance in challenging weather conditions, the pole's 5 EPA capacity at 100 mph wind speeds ensures mounted lighting systems remain operational during severe weather events. From a safety perspective, the fiberglass construction provides natural electrical isolation, while the direct burial mounting system creates a low center of gravity that enhances overall structural stability without requiring extensive underground infrastructure.
Installation Considerations
This model is designed for applications where direct burial installation offers advantages over traditional foundation-mounted systems. The 5-foot burial depth requirement provides adequate structural support while minimizing excavation compared to concrete foundation alternatives. On the installation side, the 115-pound weight allows standard crews to position and install the pole without heavy lifting equipment, though proper backfill procedures and soil compaction remain critical for achieving the rated wind load performance.
