Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.

Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Professional-Grade Wood Pilings for Marine and Foundation Applications

Engineered to handle demanding conditions in marine environments and heavy-duty foundation projects, this 25-foot Class B Southern Yellow Pine piling delivers the structural reliability that contractors and marine construction teams depend on. Built with 0.60 CCA treatment per cubic foot, this domestically sourced timber meets rigorous ASTM D25 standards while providing the dimensional consistency required for critical load-bearing applications where failure is not an option.

Key Advantages

  • Designed to deliver consistent 8-inch minimum tip diameter and 12-inch minimum diameter at 3 feet from butt for reliable load distribution
  • Offers reliable CCA treatment at 0.60 lbs per cubic foot with optional upgrades to 0.80, 1.0, 1.5, or 2.5 for enhanced protection
  • Built with Southern Yellow Pine species known for superior strength-to-weight ratio and natural durability
  • Provides consistent Class B grading that ensures structural integrity across the full 25-foot length
  • Ensures dependable operation in harsh environments through comprehensive treatment to AWPA standards

Who This Fixture Is For

  • Marine contractors installing dock systems, bulkheads, and waterfront structures requiring long-term stability
  • Foundation specialists working on elevated construction projects in coastal or high-moisture environments
  • Municipal engineers specifying treated timber for bridge abutments and public infrastructure projects
  • Industrial facility managers upgrading support structures in chemical processing or water treatment facilities
  • Commercial developers building in flood-prone areas where treated wood pilings provide cost-effective longevity

How It Compares to Metal Halide

Unlike traditional concrete or steel piling systems, this treated Southern Yellow Pine option provides superior workability and cost efficiency for medium-duty applications. Performance-wise, the natural flexibility of wood absorbs dynamic loads more effectively than rigid materials, while the comprehensive CCA treatment process creates a protective barrier that extends service life significantly beyond untreated alternatives. From a cost standpoint, wood pilings eliminate the corrosion concerns associated with steel while offering easier field modifications compared to precast concrete options.

Installation Considerations

This 25-foot piling arrives ready for immediate installation with factory-applied CCA treatment that has been pressure-impregnated to ensure complete penetration. In practice, the 670-790 pound weight range allows for efficient handling with standard construction equipment while maintaining the structural mass needed for stable driving. For most installations, the minimum circumference specifications of 25 inches at tip and 37 inches at 3 feet from butt provide the dimensional consistency required for predictable driving performance and load calculations.

Certifications & Ratings

  • ASTM D25 compliance ensures dimensional accuracy and grading consistency
  • American Wood Preservers Association (AWPA) treatment standards for decay and insect resistance
  • Class B structural grading certification for verified load-bearing capacity
  • CCA treatment documentation with retention levels verified through quality control testing

Warranty

  • One-year manufacturer warranty covering material defects and treatment quality
  • Coverage includes structural integrity and CCA treatment retention levels
  • Warranty applies to properly installed pilings in accordance with AWPA guidelines
