Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.

Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Why Facilities Choose This Product

  • Class A grading ensures superior structural performance with consistent wood density
  • CCA treatment at 0.60 pounds per cubic foot provides reliable protection against decay and insect damage
  • Southern Yellow Pine species offers exceptional strength-to-weight characteristics for marine environments
  • Minimum 9-inch tip diameter maintains structural capacity throughout the full 25-foot length
  • ASTM D25 manufacturing compliance guarantees dimensional accuracy and quality standards
  • American Wood Preservers Association treatment standards ensure long-term durability

Suitable Environments

  • Marine construction projects requiring deep foundation support
  • Waterfront structures exposed to saltwater and freshwater conditions
  • Commercial dock installations where load-bearing capacity is critical
  • Industrial facilities needing reliable pile-driven foundations
  • Coastal construction sites with challenging soil conditions
  • Bridge and pier projects demanding consistent structural performance

Metal Halide Replacement Benefits

  • Wood construction provides superior flexibility compared to rigid concrete alternatives
  • Natural shock absorption characteristics reduce stress concentration during impact loading
  • Easier field modification and cutting compared to steel or concrete options
  • Cost-effective installation using standard pile-driving equipment

Performance & Safety

Built with Class A grading standards, this piling maintains structural integrity across its full 25-foot span with minimum circumference requirements of 28 inches at the tip and 44 inches measured three feet from the butt end. The consistent taper design optimizes load distribution while maintaining the structural capacity needed for professional installations.

From a safety perspective, the 0.60 CCA treatment level provides dependable protection against biological deterioration, extending service life in challenging environments. Additionally, the Southern Yellow Pine species selection offers predictable strength characteristics that structural engineers can confidently specify for load-bearing applications.

In terms of longevity, this domestically sourced and treated piling reduces maintenance requirements through its comprehensive preservation system. The American Wood Preservers Association treatment standards ensure consistent chemical penetration, while the debarked surface preparation maximizes treatment effectiveness throughout the wood structure.

Setup & Mounting

What makes this fixture valuable for buyers is its compatibility with standard pile-driving equipment used across the construction industry. The consistent 770-920 pound weight range allows contractors to calculate driving requirements accurately, while the minimum diameter specifications ensure reliable penetration through varying soil conditions. In practice, the 25-foot length provides sufficient embedment depth for most marine and foundation applications without requiring specialized handling equipment during installation.
