Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie, what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.

Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Professional Grade Marine and Foundation Piling

Engineered to handle demanding conditions in marine and structural applications, this 20-foot Class B Southern Yellow Pine piling delivers the strength and longevity that commercial projects require. Built with .60 CCA treatment per cubic foot, this piling provides dependable protection against decay and insect damage while meeting ASTM D25 manufacturing standards. For facilities that require substantial load-bearing capacity, the 550-650 pound weight range and precise dimensional specifications ensure reliable performance in challenging environments.

Replacing Older Lighting Systems

When upgrading from untreated or inadequately protected timber pilings, this CCA-treated Southern Yellow Pine option offers significant advantages in longevity and structural integrity. By comparison to standard untreated wood solutions, the chemical treatment process extends service life considerably while maintaining the natural strength characteristics that make Southern Yellow Pine valuable for heavy-duty applications.

  • Enhanced decay resistance compared to untreated timber options
  • Consistent dimensional tolerances that exceed many legacy piling standards
  • American-grown and processed materials versus imported alternatives
  • AWPA-compliant treatment standards for reliable long-term protection

Mounting, Setup & Controls

Installation flexibility comes from the precise dimensional specifications, with minimum tip diameter of 8 inches expanding to 12 inches at three feet from the butt end. The 25-inch minimum tip circumference and 37-inch circumference measurement provide installers with predictable sizing for equipment compatibility. Additionally, optional treatment levels ranging from .80 to 2.5 pounds per cubic foot allow project teams to match chemical protection levels to specific environmental demands.

Certifications

  • ASTM D25 manufacturing standards compliance

Performance Overview

What makes this piling valuable for buyers is the combination of domestic Southern Yellow Pine strength characteristics with professional-grade CCA treatment protection. The 20-foot length provides substantial embedded depth options while the Class B rating ensures adequate load-bearing capacity for most commercial applications. From a longevity standpoint, the chemical treatment process penetrates throughout the wood structure, creating a barrier against the biological factors that typically compromise untreated timber in demanding environments.

  • Provides consistent 550-650 pound weight range for predictable handling
  • Offers reliable dimensional specifications from tip to butt measurements
  • Ensures dependable operation in high-moisture environments
  • Supports demanding operations with one-year warranty coverage
