Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar machine (customer supplied). Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.

Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Premium Marine Grade Foundation Solution

For facilities that require dependable structural support in challenging environments, this Class A Southern Yellow Pine piling delivers the strength and longevity needed for critical applications. Engineered to handle demanding conditions with precise dimensional specifications and comprehensive chemical treatment, this 20-foot foundation element provides reliable performance for marine, industrial, and construction projects where structural integrity cannot be compromised.

Key Advantages

  • Class A structural grade ensures maximum load-bearing capacity and dimensional consistency
  • CCA treatment at 0.60 pounds per cubic foot provides proven protection against decay and insect damage
  • Southern Yellow Pine species offers superior strength-to-weight ratio and natural durability
  • ASTM D25 manufacturing standards guarantee consistent quality and structural reliability
  • Precise dimensional control with 9-inch minimum tip diameter and 14-inch minimum diameter at butt section

Who This Fixture Is For

  • Marine construction teams installing docks, piers, and waterfront structures
  • Civil engineers specifying foundation elements for bridges and elevated structures
  • Commercial developers requiring structural pilings for coastal and inland construction
  • Industrial facilities needing permanent foundation solutions in corrosive environments
  • Infrastructure contractors working on utility installations and heavy equipment foundations

How It Compares to Metal Halide

Unlike traditional untreated timber options, this chemically treated piling offers dramatically extended service life in ground contact and marine environments. The CCA preservation system penetrates deep into the wood fibers, creating a protective barrier that prevents the biological deterioration that typically compromises untreated lumber within years of installation.

Major Benefits

Energy Savings

Built with Southern Yellow Pine's naturally high strength characteristics, this piling eliminates the need for oversized structural elements or frequent replacements. The efficient load transfer capability reduces material waste and minimizes the environmental impact of construction projects while maintaining long-term structural performance.

Light Output & Visibility

Designed to deliver consistent dimensional accuracy, the controlled taper from 14-inch butt diameter to 9-inch tip diameter ensures predictable bearing capacity and proper load distribution. This precision manufacturing eliminates guesswork during installation and provides engineers with reliable design parameters for structural calculations.

Operating Stability

Ensures dependable operation in challenging soil and moisture conditions through comprehensive CCA treatment that protects against fungal decay, termites, and other wood-destroying organisms. The chemical preservation system maintains structural integrity even under continuous ground contact and varying moisture levels that would compromise untreated alternatives.

Installation Considerations

From a cost standpoint, proper handling equipment is essential due to the 600-800 pound weight range of these treated pilings. Installation teams should plan for appropriate crane capacity and consider the 44-inch minimum circumference at the critical bearing section when designing pile caps and connection details. Additionally, the CCA treatment requires standard safety protocols during cutting and drilling operations on the job site.

Certifications & Ratings

  • ASTM D25 structural grading standards compliance
  • American Wood Preservers Association treatment specifications
  • Class A structural grade certification
  • CCA chemical treatment verification at 0.60 PCF retention level

Warranty

  • One-year manufacturer warranty covering material defects and treatment quality
  • Coverage includes dimensional compliance and structural grading accuracy
  • Chemical treatment retention warranty per AWPA standards
