Professional-Grade Fiberglass Lighting Support

Built for environments where wind resistance and structural reliability are non-negotiable, this 10-foot above-grade fiberglass pole delivers engineered performance in demanding outdoor conditions. With its square profile and direct burial installation method, this lighting support system offers facilities a dependable foundation for area illumination without the maintenance concerns associated with traditional materials.

What makes this fixture valuable for buyers is its comprehensive wind load engineering, rated for extreme conditions up to 160 mph while maintaining structural integrity. The fluoropolymer coating system protects against UV degradation and environmental wear, ensuring consistent appearance and performance throughout its operational lifespan.

Comparing to Traditional Lighting

Unlike traditional steel or aluminum poles that suffer from corrosion and require ongoing maintenance, this fiberglass construction eliminates rust, rot, and galvanic deterioration completely. The non-conductive properties provide inherent electrical safety advantages, while the lightweight design reduces installation complexity and labor requirements compared to heavy metal alternatives that often demand specialized equipment for positioning.

Operational Advantages

Energy Usage

The streamlined square profile minimizes wind resistance, reducing structural stress and mechanical wear on mounted fixtures. This aerodynamic efficiency helps maintain optimal fixture positioning and reduces vibration-related maintenance issues that can affect lighting performance over time.

Visibility

Engineered to handle demanding conditions while maintaining precise fixture positioning, the pole's flex-and-return characteristics ensure mounted luminaires stay properly aimed even after wind events. The available color options in bronze, black, white, and gray allow for visual coordination with architectural elements and site aesthetics.

Durability

Designed to deliver superior longevity through its composite construction that outperforms equivalent steel in both compression and tension applications. The material's natural flexibility allows controlled movement during high wind conditions, then returns to original form rather than suffering permanent deformation or failure.

Mounting Details

  • Direct burial installation eliminates the need for concrete anchor bolt templates or base plates
  • Three-foot below-grade depth provides stable foundation in standard soil conditions
  • Lightweight construction at 34 pounds allows manual handling and positioning
  • Top cap included for weather protection and finished appearance
  • Square profile offers multiple fixture mounting orientations
